ABCNJ Puerto Rico Mission Trip

While we had to put our mission trip to Puerto Rico due to Covid, we are excited to announce that we can now announce our rescheduled date!The American Baptist Churches of New Jersey (ABCNJ), in partnership with the American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS), is providing an opportunity for our churches to get directly involved in “Rebuilding, Restoring, Renewing Puerto Rico,” a multi-year initiative following the devastation caused by Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017. These violent storms damaged and destroyed much of the infrastructure and homes on the island. Most of our sister churches have been restored, so the focus has shifted to working on the houses still needing repair. ABCNJ and ABHMS continue to answer the call, but much remains to be done, as tens of thousands of homes in Puerto Rico remain without the roofs that were torn away during Hurricane Maria’s fury.Work will include helping restore homes and other mission opportunities.
Total Cost: $800.00
Cost includes airfare, island transportation, lodging, and meals.

An additional link to pay $150 registration fee to ABHMS will be sent after registering through ABCNJ. Full $800 includes airfare, island transportation, lodging, and meals.
